 Community events bring people together and help create a strong sense of connection and belonging. In small towns like Myton, events such as parades, festivals, sports games, and holiday celebrations give residents opportunities to meet neighbors, support local businesses, and build lasting friendships. These gatherings also encourage community pride by celebrating local traditions and culture. Whether it is a summer fair, a school fundraiser, or a city celebration, community events help make the town more welcoming and united for people of all ages.

Upcoming Events

Mayor's Summer Reading Challenge

Begins: 6/8/2026 - 8:00 Am
Ends: 8/22/2026 - 6:00 PM

The Mayor's 2026 Summer Reading Challenge:
  • Goal: Read 10 books over the summer.  Beginning June 8th to August 22nd.
  • Target Audience: Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
  • Action: Read 20 minutes per day.  Have your parent sign off. 
  • Rewards: A personalized certificate, a small prize, ribbon and recognition at city council meeting and/or school assembly

Ways to help you reach your Challenge Goal:

  • Monthly reading goals
  • Reading logs
  • Library participation
  • Family reading nights

Get recognititon at:

*Youth recognition at city council meeting, on Myton City website, Facebook Page and maybe even a school assembly.

*Certificate and Ribbon

Print out the reading tracker, fill it in and return it to City Hall at the end of the challenge.  BE HONEST IN YOUR READING LOG AND ENJOY THE ADVENTURES THAT READING BRINGS TO YOU.

City Council Meeting

**June Council Meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2026.**

Join your neighbors and stay informed at the Myton City Council meetings. Regular meetings are typically held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the council room at 125 E Main St, Myton, Utah.

Residents are welcome to attend, listen, and participate in public comment opportunities on community issues, city projects, ordinances, and local planning decisions.

Monthly Youth Event

Begins: 6/19/2026 - 10:00 AM
Ends: 6/19/2026 - 12:00 PM

Looking for monthly youth events in Myton.  We are going to be hosting a monthly event here at City Hall on the 3rd Friday of each month. 

  • Myton City hosts community celebrations and seasonal family activities including Myton Daze, kids’ events, and park activities throughout the year. The city posts updates and announcements on its website. 

  • Library STEM clubs and reading programs

  • Movie nights and park events

  • Music

  • Holiday festivals

  • Community service projects

  • Crafts

Myton Daze Fair & Rodeo

Begins: 6/25/2026 - 12:00 pm
Ends: 6/27/2026 - 11:00 PM

The Myton Daze Fair & Rodeo is a lively, family-friendly celebration that brings the community together for a weekend full of excitement, tradition, and small-town charm.  The theme for 2026 is, HONORING OUR PAST, SHAPING OUR FUTURE.  This year is special because it is also America’s 250th Celebration.

Held each year in Myton, this beloved event is where visitors can enjoy a vibrant fair atmosphere with local vendors, delicious food, handmade crafts, music, talent show, dog show, parade, fireworks and activities for all ages.  And this year we are looking forward to having our Rodeo grounds up and going for smaller events

From live entertainment and parades to games and community gatherings, Myton Daze offers something for everyone. It’s a chance to connect with neighbors, celebrate local heritage, and create lasting memories under the open sky.

Whether you’re there for the new rodeo or the welcoming, festive vibe, the Myton Daze Fair & Rodeo is a highlight of the summer season you won’t want to miss.
